3 Best Twitch Streaming Communities – You should be part of
Couple of my friends that have started streaming have been asking where and how-to promote their channel, find streaming buddies and network. I thought why not share this for others also. So here is in my opinion the 3 best twitch streaming communities, you totally should be part of! 🙂
Streaming can be a bit lonesome at times. You might have already created your layouts and pictures for marketing by yourself like many do. You might also already have some questions that can’t actually be answered by looking at the hundreds of tutorials in different websites or Youtube. You want some humanly touch and possibly a streamer friend to collaborate with!
That’s when it’s time to find good streaming communities that can help you out. Many of the streaming communities gathered in this article also offer some kind of advertising solutions where you can post your stream or celebrate some awesome milestones that has happened in your stream. 🙂
Streaming community 1: Twitch Kittens
Twitch Kittens is kinda a new kid on the block but it has already stolen my heart away. You may have already seen this one of the earlier posts at How to get in touch with game devs and request game copies. The communitys core currently hangs around in Discord and everyone is really friendly.
Basically you can chat around anything involving streaming over here and people like to help out a lot. There is also a spot for Twitch Links where you can let others know what you are playing currently so you can get in touch with other streamers.
They also have a re-tweet service that you can use when going live in Twitter witch is pretty good since there isn’t that much 0 like or re-tweeted posts. This is impressive compared to some automated re-tweet services that are just full of bots 😀
Streaming community 2: /r/Twitch
If you haven’t yet started to use Reddit. I highly suggest you do that! This place took my reddit virginity and the community around /r/Twitch is really good! When you need a place to ask questions for specific problems or talk about the latest things happening around Twitch this is the go-to place. When Twitch is down this is the place where pitch forks has been raised already.
There is monthly events running where you can submit art, ask feedback for your channel etc. For starters i would suggest you to create an intro for TwitchDB so you can get a “Verified broadcaster” padge beside your name. This way every comment you make at Reddit is an advertisement for your own channel.
There is also monthly collabration, events and such happening all the time. If you want to get know some of your fellow streamers and want to find new folks to play with. This place is really good for that! /r/Twitch also has a discord channel where you can find help for techy questions.
Streaming community 3: Twitch.tv Streamers
Twitch.tv Streamers is currently the most active Twitch Streamer Facebook community that everyone should be part of. You can ask techy questions, post going live links and celebrate together when you did something awesome! This is really good place if you want to really discuss with people with real names. The mod group is really active and they have done an amazing job for clearing a lot of trolls and haters in the past months.
Group consists of starting out streamers, veterans and partners (ex. Pseudo_Poise is a mod here). So the discussion and information is really good! Here is one of the latest really good tips how to get more interaction from the group and Facebook groups especially by Pseudo_Poise. Check out her channel also.. She is an awesome streamer and an artist 🙂
Hey everyone! I've been seeing lots of posts lately with people unhappy with the lack of group interactions on their posts. I wanted to make a quick video to address and give my thoughts on that. I don't know much honestly, but I've been in this group a while and wanted to share some of what I do know (which still ain't shit but I digress).Remember: it's not people's job to support you. It's your job to make people WANT to support you. I hope you all start feeling better soon. (Sorry I'm not as eloquent on video so forgive the "umms" and "uhhs" and run-on sentences)
